With its purely private character, the Center for Contemporary Urban Development “DUC” forms an integral part of the city’s push for reflection, evaluation, and development of historically important projects, in the same manner as Valparaísos universities and public institutions.

The main task of the “DUC” is the promotion of the cultural life of the city, generating a space for discussion, information and debate about topics of interest for the citizen, related to arts, architecture, urban matters etc.
