DUC is a private non-profit foundation put together by a body of members and a directorship, which is administrating all activities and the infrastructure of the center, which is property of “Pacific Architecture”, a local Real Estate Investment firm.
The members of the foundation are all recognized professionals in their respective specialties, in which they have developed projects supported by national (CONICYT, FNDR and FONDART) and international (PNUD, BID, AECI and ICOMOS) organizations. In all of these proyects they have shown capacity for investigation, management and production in the diverse but converging areas of a contemporary aesthetic committed to an integral development of the urban culture.
“Pacific Architecture” is a company that holds the leadership in the rehabilitation of patrimonial buildings in Valparaiso and whose management and design has led to awards on two occasions from the Chilean College of Architecture, several internatoinal publications and a solid reputation in the area of renovation.
  The founding members of DUC are:
 

Michael Bier
Doctor of Architecture, Director of Pacific Architecture and University Professor.

Paz Undurraga
Architect, Consultant Advisor to the “Ministry of Housing and Urbanism” and University Professor.

José de Nordenflycht
Master in History, Professor at the University of Playa Ancha and the Catholic University in Valparaiso and General Secretary for ICOMOS-Chile.

Vanessa Grimaldi
Visual Artist, Teacher of the visual arts and Director of Gallery H10.

Pedro Sepúlveda
Visual artist, teacher of theory and communication and director of the design firm “Instrucciones de Uso”.

Fabiola Zamora
Geographer, Diploma SIG ( Geographic Information System), Department of Urban Development, Ministry of Housing and Urbanism.
